EIP AHA Reference Sites and Smart Specialisation: mutual learning and exchange of experiences

Location
Place du Champ de Mars 2, 1050 Bruxelles
Description

This high level event is co-organized by ERRIN, EUREGHA and Coral Networks with the strong collaboration and impulse of the European Commission (DG SANCO and CONNECT).

DG REGIO will also participate as keynote speaker to stress the importance of linking the EIP AHA (European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing – More Info HERE!) and in particular the work made by Reference Sites together with Smart Specialisation Strategy.

As agreed with the European Commission, this event will represent a Preparatory Meeting for the eHealth Forum 2014, Athens, 12-14 May 2014 (more info about the Event HERE).

During the Event we will discuss in deep how to guarantee an effective exchange of good practices between  Reference Sites and how the EIP is helping or could better support Regions in the near future.

It seems that one of the main points for Regions will be how to get new funding to finance their activities. In this framework Structural Funds should play a crucial role and this is the reason why Regions should start thinking about how to integrate Reference Sites strategies into Smart Specialisation Strategy in order to be able to better allocate funding for Health sector.
