ERRIN is organising a Brokerage Event in Brussels to coordinate and promote local stakeholders participation to Future Internet Call 3.

The Future Internet PPP Call 3 Brokerage event
Wednesday 18th September 2013: Late afternoon “1 Keynote Speakers (TBI) and networking cocktail.
Wednesday afternoon participants will get an overview from a keynote speaker from the European Commission about how the future role of ICT in Horizon2020 and how the Future Internet-PPP will be integrated into Horizon 2020 and the Innovation Union and Digital Agenda Flagships.
The aim of this session is to provide an overall context to the call and give participants the chance for some early networking to exchange ideas, views and start thinking about potential partnerships and collaborations to be developed during the second day.
Thursday 19th September “full day” brokerage event (approx 9.00 to 16.00).
The aim of this second session/day is to start developing concrete ideas and project proposals. However, this is a complex call and successful projects will need to have a clear idea of the FI-PPP landscape. This session will start with presentations from the Commission and presentations from FI-WARE, INFINITY and OUTSMART 3 important projects implemented during phase 1 and 2 of Future Internet PPP. It will be important to understand the work they have done, the results achieved and how they foresee the Phase 2 projects cooperating with the approved Phase 3 projects. We will also have a presentation from FITMAN as an example of a phase 2 project in FI-PPP and also involve the EUREKA network (tbc) .
This event will be an opportunity for regional stakeholders to meet potential partners and gain a strong understanding of the call to increase their chances of success. Background information on the call can be found at the following web address
Themes for the Round Table sessions.
According to the Call, there is no limitation on the consortiums focus (Objective 1.8), which therefore can be organized and composed by sectors, by company ecosystems, by regional dimensions or by “Something else”. For organizing the Registration to the Brokerage event and to the have a productive meeting, we will divide participants in different round tables in 2 parallel sessions – on e in the morning and one in the afternoon so participants can go to two topics. We inform you as well that a Follow Up meeting will be organised the last week of October (28th - 31st October). The aim of the follow up meeting is to work on the concrete project proposals collected during the Brokerage Event in September.
