The aim of the workshop is to provide input for the remaining work programme of the Security Research theme of FP7 and in view of FP8.

The focus of the workshop will be to broadly look at the societal dimension of security research, and at how to mainstream these aspects into security research activities. This was also an important outcome of the work of ESRIF.
