Objectives and Activities

The newly established ERRIN Design & Creativity Working Group is lead by Helsinki EU Office.
Co-chairs of the group are Chambers of Commerce Ile-de-France, Flanders and Central Denmark.

For the coming year, the group will focus its work on the following areas:

Stimulate cooperation between the different Directorates - General of the European Commision working on Design & Creativity in order to raise awareness of the potentials of creativity and design in relation to creating growth and economic development
Facilitate project development within the area of creativity and design by organising market places for the practitioners
Awareness-raising of the issues related to the role of design in innovation and regional policy. This will be done both at the European and regional level.
Profiling the regions in relation to design at EU level. Producing a comprehensive document for the internal use of the working group, as well as making the regions visible at the European level
Links to other existing design-related networks (Districts of Creativity, Creative Metropoles (Oslo), Beda and others.
