The next Smart Specialisation WG meeting on "Reviewing the RIS3 – Challenges and concrete proposals for improving inter-regional collaboration and synergies", will take place on 24th October between 9:15-12:00 at the Basque Country's Delegation in Brussels, located on Rue des Deux Églises 27, 1000 Brussels. As many regions currently are in the process of updating their S3 strategies, this meeting will discuss the challenges and key learnings of reviewing and redefining the RIS3. 

The meeting will also present concrete proposals for improving inter-regional collaboration and synergies.  The European Commission will give a presentation on how they see the way towards RIS3 2.0 and discuss factors such as enabling conditions, governance, and evaluation and monitoring. Thereafter, two regions will present the process of updating and redefining their regional S3 strategies. Finally, the Joint Research Centre will give an overview of the support they can offer in the development and implementation of RIS3.
