Training: Increasing digitalisation awareness and readiness of German communities

The European Commission recently launched an initiative to increase digitalisation awareness and readiness of EU communities, which aims to support all cities and regions that are in their digital transformation process, providing resources, best practices and training for the development of digitalisation strategies.

In Germany, BBSR, the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development, has joined this initiative as a member of the Smart Communities Network. For German cities and regions, several training sessions were organised (see information below), and the next phase is planned for 14 January 2025 (online and in-person). The training will be delivered primarily in German.
