Clean Hydrogen Partnership 2024 calls are now open!

The Clean Hydrogen Partnership has officially launched its calls for proposals for 2024, providing a funding opportunity of €113.5 million to advance projects supporting the development of hydrogen technologies across the entire hydrogen value chain.

The 2024 call covers various topics, including renewable hydrogen production, storage and distribution, transport, heat and power, and cross-cutting themes. Notably, the call allocates €29 million specifically for projects related to Hydrogen Valleys, in line with the European Commission's REPowerEU Plan, which seeks to double the number of Hydrogen Valleys in the EU by 2025.

The calls will remain open until 17 April 2024, 17:00 CEST. Find more information on the Funding & Tender portal and on the dedicated website.

To further provide comprehensive insights on the details of the call, the Clean Hydrogen Partnership is organising an Info Day scheduled for Friday, 26 January. The event, which will take place both in-person in Brussels and online, will cover the specifics of the call, the application process and potential synergies with other programs. Hydrogen Europe Regional Pillar invited ERRIN members to join a workshop on Wednesday, 7 February, focusing specifically on Hydrogen Valley calls. This online workshop will allow ERRIN members to hear Antonio Aguilo Rullan, Team Coordinator at Clean Hydrogen Partnership, who will share insights and lessons learned from previous calls on Hydrogen Valleys. You will find more information on how to register here.

These events offer a unique chance to stay informed, engage with experts, and contribute to advancing hydrogen technologies and Hydrogen Valleys.

ERRIN and its members have actively contributed to the development of Hydrogen Valleys and provided feedback and input for the European roadmap. Acknowledging the importance of Hydrogen Valleys as place-based innovation ecosystems, ERRIN emphasises the role of local and regional governments in reinforcing the research and innovation agenda for clean hydrogen.
