Hauts-de-France funds two scientific projects to combat COVID-19

Working towards the goal of finding solutions to problems brought about by the COVID-19 crisis, the Hauts-de-France region has had four of its eleven applications to the emergency national call selected by the scientific committee for evaluation.

The region itself, in a bid to get fast results, has given financial support to two scientific projects at Lille University Hospital and the Pasteur Institute of Lille.

The first project CritiSARS plans to identify new viral markers, which should help in the mission to find treatments for patients in hospital. The second project, FlavoCoV, will identify specific molecules that work against the novel coronavirus to develop antiviral treatments.
